My interests include music (French Horn), rugby (selected to US Allegheny Regional Side – oh, yes I was), decades of marathon/ultra marathon running and dog training. My passion is service to the orphaned poor of the Roman Catholic Saint Francis Home for Children, the associated Hospital Corpus Christi, and San Bernardino – an affiliated school, all in Patzún, Guatemala. The last 18 years I have been organizing parish mission groups plus leading work and awareness visits to various Guatemalan and Mexican missions.

Congratulations on the Good work you’ve accomplished on your mission. Clean drinking water is certainly a priority in making any community healthy and self sufficient.
I just stumbled upon this blog and wish that I would have come to know of your work earlier. I completed a doctoral dissertation at Notre Dame last summer on U.S. Catholic and Protestant mission and political advocacy during the Cold War. I’m now on a post-doc at Valparaiso University in Indiana but next year I’ll be moving on to take a position as Asst. Prof. of History at Mount Saint Mary’s in Emmitsburg, MD. I focused largely on Maryknoll for the diss. but now that I revise for book publication, I’d like to expand and a bit – and would be eager to talk with you. I’m also a Pittsburgh native! I hope that we can be in touch.
